Rowboat
Clinging to this rock
can’t see in the dark.
Hear sick
white horses
galloping unshackled
and words
bend
truth like
waves bend
wood
on the rattling waters.

Clams
Friday, November 28, 2008
Clams
my lawn was covered
in tandoori prawns
and I flew to Spain
and cried in my Sangria.
I left some of my feelings there
wrapped in plastic
and shoved
in an overflowing bin
with a shrink wrapped bag
of empty clam shells
and enough wine corks
to sail me home.
